tint problems
Hey all,

haven't posted a thread since my first 2, almost a month ago. I was in Vegas for a convention. anyway, $1200 for a tint job is a bit ridiculous... dont you think??? i paid $125 for mine and they look just fine. i got 20% all around from a shop near my home. they are just standard (classic) black tints on a black/charcoal C32...

i got pulled over the other day doing 50 in a 35 zone and the cop gave me "tinted window" ticket instead of the speeding violation (maybe cause he realised i can't do less then 40 in this car) which is a good thing because my guy told me anytime i had problems with police because of the tints i should come to him. so i did just that. he wrote me a fake invoice as though i got them removed for $100 or so. i then took the ticket, & fake invoice with my other car (stock 2003 ML320 - no tints) went to the court (before the court date) and got it waived free of charge. i then found out you can go to your eye doctor (i got bad eyesight) or general doctor and make him fill out a form that you need to have your windows tinted b/c of visibility/blindness from sun or some other kind of BS, etc. and you dont want to buy special perscripted sunglasses (they try to make you purchase sunglasses instead of tints)

btw, i have lifetime warranty on my tints and at anytime i feel unsatisfied with them he will completely change/redo them to any % i want. so in a couple of weeks when i get my certification to be allowed to have tints on my car im getting COMPLETE PITCH DARK 0- 5% LIMO TINTS all around. and i thought my car was BLACK already, i was wrong

I just purchased a pewter 03 C32 with all options except phone, and would like to get the windows tinted. I used to have a 01 C320, and when I had it tinted, I lost a significant amount of radio reception. Do any of these tints that you guys have been talking about NOT affect your radio reception? Also, any thoughts of what would look best with pewter, black or reflective?
