Does age or mileage affect these cars more?

Thinking about buying my first AMG, and I actually plan to use it as my daily driver so I’m not looking for anything new whatsoever. My question is, is it better to buy one that’s older with less miles (2005 45,000 miles) or one that’s newer with more miles (2009 90,000 miles)? I’m talking about reliability and maintenance here not anything else. Which one would give me less problems down the road?

Edit: by the way, let’s just assume both cars are maintained very well. I know there are other posts out there related to mine, but no one seems to be wondering about higher mileage AMG’s

Buy the nicest one you can find with the lowest miles. Seems silly, but sometimes good maintenance records trump a bit fewer miles. A 20k mile heap that's never gotten regular maintenance and has janky mods will have me running faster than OEM care and maintenance and no mods with 3x the miles.

Agreed with statement above ^

You want something that has been driven regularly if it is something you plan to daily. Rubber parts should be a focus when inspecting, think engine hose, bushings, flex discs, subframe etc. Also what model/s are you thinking?
