IC Pump

Hey Guys,

Interested in hearing how many miles/km you got out of the stock pump.

The average life appears to be around 40-50k for the oe part. Is it somewhat obvious when the pump fails? I recently acquired an ‘02 C32 w/ 67k miles; I believe the pump in my car is the original. Any insight would be appreciated.

Cheers.

If you think it's original, replace it.

Original pump is weak compared to the 010 model.

You should get another 10 years out of it.

Ok, I plan on doing so. The power feels weak at certain points in the lower rpm range. I’m almost positive the pump is the original.

Cheers,

I ordered the updated Bosch pump today ending 010. Can someone please confirm this pump is a direct replacement? I read a few threads where people were having to splice wires, I believe they were upgrading to the Johnson or an alternative mfg. I feel like the updated Bosch is well-suited for a stock setup.

I look forward to installing and hopefully a noticeable difference in overall performance. I’m almost positive mine is the original Bosch w/ 67k on the clock. Seems like money well spent in terms of preventive maintenance and peace of mind.

Cheers,

-Rob

The new pump was installed yesterday along w/ a coolant flush. The original pump had 67k on it; I feel no more sluggishness w/ the replacement. I knew something felt off when the temps and humidity spiked here. Night and day in terms of overall performance. I’m also going to replace the oe relay tomorrow.
