MB battery production?
Hey Guys,
I’m unable to decipher the code etched in the corner of my MB battery on my ‘02. Something is telling me it’s time to replace, but would like to know the production date of the current one. I acquired the car less than a yr ago and see no record of a new battery. The interior dome light flickers a bit at night and the instrument cluster visibility is off at times
The code stamped on the corner is either B62FB or 862FB, if someone could offer up some insight it would be very much appreciated! Also, the replacement battery you would recommend. I’m clueless as to why the mfgs never clearly state a simple thing like the production date.

There are only three manufacturers making car batteries these days and everyone just slaps their sticker on them. Shop by CCA and get the most for your size and dollar.

My last replacement for trunk battery for SL was "platinum" Autozone and was made in Germany. Wonder who the actual manufacture is: Bosch? it was grey. Not a huge fan of the vendor for batteries as they tend to be awfully proud of them, but only one I could find locally in exact size.
