Odd vibration in my C32...
I have this vibration that I can starting at 45MPH through 75MPH. It seems to be the most pronounced at around 60MPH. I can feel both through the seat, and by touching the console. The odd thing is that I cannot feel it through the steering wheel.
I can also hear it, with the frequency of the vibration being a pulse about every .75-1 second, depending on speed. The sound is very bass in tone.
It makes the same vibration 4th 5th and Neutral, and the "pulsing" frequency never changes based on the gear.
I had the local shop manager ride with me, and he told me he had never heard a vibration like it. He is going to get the Mercedes Factory Rep, or whatever to look at it. I am not sure what that means.
Anyone else had this problem?

Check the runout on your rear wheels. I had the same thing on an E-Class and it was a bent rear wheel. At slow speeds it was not noticable, but became very noticable above about 40mph.

Since it is not in the steering wheel, I would have the dealer check out the rear suspension, bushings etc. The driveshaft could also cause this if there is a problem with a U-joint, or any part suspending the driveshaft. I am not sure but on some cars there is a support in the center part of the drive shaft. I am suprised that some of the techies who have a lot more knowledge than I have not responded to your question.
