I'm the proud owner of a 2003 C32 AMG Orion Blue color with 118k miles on it, very well kept interior and mechanically. The outside has few bubble spots that i was going to restore but due to the paint of the car being very rare, i thought i'd see if i should sell the car or repair the paint spots and store it. It has few mods (pulley, exhaust and ecu) i believe it's around 375hp now. some nice cosmetic upgrade including grill, shift knob (carbon fiber amg), also include 4 oem rims in perfect condition with blizzak tires 80% on them. posted are few pictures of the car, first i want to know what's the best way to sell a car like this. I found out from mercedes that only 48 cars where made of this color and not one is on sale in the world right now. my options are:
1. restore the bubble paint and keep it (possibly store it for next 10-20 years)
2. sell it (which would really be my first choice as we're trying to upgrade to larger vehicle)
3. restore and then sell it (not sure if this will hurt or better the selling price and hesitant to do so)

beautiful car...if you love the car then i would totally get it re painted. i had a 2003 C32 that i sold but loved the car.
i'm also in Illinois. if you are considering selling, please PM me with what your asking for on the car as I have been looking for another C32.
Nice car. I sold my 210 55 not too long ago for my C32 after bubbles starting forming around the wheel arches. Rust is such a horrible thing, it spreads quickly and eats away like termites. Horrible situation because you have a rare color and relatively low mileage. It unfortunately will take much more than paint i can promise you that much.
Illinois seems to be plagued with this issue after years of researching various cars. Best of luck, I recommend you consult with a good body shop to determine how to move forward.
hey thanx for the feedback but no they aren't that bad at all, the car actually came from canada and it was garaged all winter long, the bubble came literally from 2017 winter as they had to use the car in the winter, the bubble is very small and easily fixble, i got quoted around $800 to fix around 6 bubble spots, no one recommended to repaint because of the color but some people would still like to. I'm scared to repaint because it won't be original anymore so i'm not sure if it will lose value with repaint. i have few guys coming up to see it from cali so will see where it goes, but if i can't sell in the next 2-3 weeks, i'll fix the bubble spots and store it .

I hear you, but definitely keep any eye on it. Rust spreads quickly!!
The mkt seems like it’s finally starting to appreciate the C32s. Best of luck.
Nice! Funny because I was looking at C32/C55 for the hell of it and saw this and said "That is a nice color! So different from the silver that I always see"
Still thinking about selling that C32 Moose??? Let me know. Im in the Market to buy one as I have recently wrecked mine. Im keeping it for parts though. I doubt if that color will have any effect on the C32 value for at least another 50 years in the classic car market. But blue is my favorite Color. Let ne know... 323-898-9220 Don
