where to get C32 brake pads?

Hi everyone,

I'm rather new here. My girlfriend has a C32 thats in need of a new set of brake pads. She mostly uses it on the street, although she's interested in doing a few track days with me in the future. I come from the BMW world (M3), and we would use stock pads for this application because they are a good compromise, still work well cold and won't give off brake dust that eats your wheels (like hawk bules etc.). What works well on C32s? If I order stock pads is there a dealer that offers good discounts?

Also, I was going to replace the fluid with ATE Super Blue. Will that work in this car? Will the Dealer give her any warranty grief about this switch?

Thanks,

Juan Bruce

I'd recommend going with ATE Type 200. Same spec as ATE Blue but its the generic color, so the dealer won't even raise the issue. But there's no reason why Super Blue won't work on the car if you really want the blue stuff.

Super Blue works fine in the car as I had this fluid prior to the Motul RBF. It will stain the resevior though, so if you are concerned with a stock appearance go with the 200 since it is the same fluid without the dye.

Look at aftermarket distribution channels for a cheaper price on stock pads than the dealer. I have purchased from a few of them. Look at the advertisements in your favorite car mag.

Can you suggest any specific ones? My usual aftermarket suppliers only handle OE BMW parts. Also, are there any dealers that do mailorder discounts? For BMW parts I can get 25-40% off at Nick Alexander and Pacific BMW. I'm looking for something similar.
