Optimal Tire Pressures for Drag Racing?

hi,

i'm planning to drag race my car at Infineon Raceway in Sacramento fairly soon. i just got Toyo Proxes T1-S tires on less than 300 miles ago, sizes are 225/45/17 and 245/40/17. i have stock 17" rims for now. what tire pressures should i inflate/deflate the tires to?

lastly, any launch tips? brake-torquing around 1200rpm seemed to do alright on the stock Pilot Sports. does holding it in first for the launch help?

thanks!

I go esp off, and try to sweet spot the pedal, don't just push it straight to the ground.

I agree with SP6NT advice. Dont slam the pedal all the way down. Feel it out. You can try going down 2 pounds of air until you find what works.

cool. are lower tire pressures or higher tire pressure better for T1-S? i am thinking lower pressures are generally better, but i've heard that T1-S need to be inflated high to perform best.

thanks.
