Lost Power

Hi,
Today I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden I lost power to the whole car as it was just in neutral. Luckily was able to pull over and put it back in the parked, removed key for a couple of seconds and start up the car again and everything was normal. I got no check engine light on or any other sort of problems
Does anyone know what might have caused the problem??

Thank you all for your help!

Cranskshaft position sensor.pull the codes and it might show the code for the cps, could also be fuel related. Give us some codes

crankshaft position sensor sounds likely, voltage regulator on alternator also possible but like above, would need codes to give a more solid answer.

I echo the crankshaft position sensor. They are intermittent. Make sure you get an OEM bosch as the parts store ones are known to fail right out of the box.
