C55 OEM Modified Air Box
Hey guys, from time to time I get emails asking me if I'm still making the air boxes. So for those new ones I want to let them know that yes I am.
I have one for sale right now for $485.00 plus shipping, you can send me your zip code and I will see what the cost will be with USPS.
I can also buy your core for $110.00 if you like.

The air box has been sold. If anyone is interested just email or pm me and I will make one for you right away.
Also, I now make them 3x stronger even though they don't need to be. I use OEM plastic for the welding and this makes a very strong weld and hold.
If anyone knows how to make a website I like to barter with you. Just let me know. I need a website so interested ones can go there and view info and pictures than buy.

Modified Airbox
So I did my own version of the Speed43 airbox... pretty labor intensive and messy. Had to cut it into three pieces removed the bottom of the center section, then split the top in two pieces. Used foam to support the top end and then put foil tape on inside and did kitty hair.... after that a lot of sanding and dust, followed by putting strips of fiberglass matting on inside. You then have to make sure you dont have any rough edges that could come off and go down the intake, cosmetically there is alot of finessing to get the surface smooth and then finding paint to match the texture of the reset of the box.
Anyhow its a lot of labor. I have to say Speed43s price is worth it unless you have a lot of freetime...lol

Wanted to show a new color I have for those that like silver. The color is really nice. The amg letters get painted only if they are in really bad shape. These are just taped up...
Same price for the regular color,black, and now silver. Keep in mind you can send me your front engine cover so I can paint match it..
Btw, this box is sold.
With the chrome AMG letters.
