Don't expect to save much weight. Maybe 20lbs from stock. Also by the time you have it prepped and painted the total will be $1000. Then of course it will fit like crap.

You said a CF hood stock looking, which I figured meant painted. Would not look very stock if it was not painted. Plus even leaving it with the CF look requires clear coating it. On the quality, I heard from another board member that said there was alot of work to make it fit just right.

Fast Cars!
The vis hoods are ****ty quality. I would never get one. My friend got one on his old civic and it started to yellow after the first year. There are better companys for CF hoods. Even if it had to be custom.

they use a different manufacturer for the japanese cars then for the European cars!! Euro Creations (a part of VIS) has some good quality stuff!!!! You have to see it for yourself... for example, u know the MCP CF hoods.. they are all Euro Creations hoods, same company as VIS. I have seen the BMW and Mercedes VIS hoods myself, rolled edges, clear coated already, great quality... Dario has had his for years and it still looks just as good as the day he bought it still!!!
