Carbon fiber hood
I was just wondering what you guys think about a carbon fiber hood..stock looking but in carbon fiber on a black c32 would look...I got chrome rims now but am changing to light weight black rims soon.....

Don't expect to save much weight. Maybe 20lbs from stock. Also by the time you have it prepped and painted the total will be $1000. Then of course it will fit like crap.

well im doing it mainly for looks...im gonna probly gonna switch to some black ligjht weight rims...black stock benz grill and then I was thinking of throwing a carbon fiber hood for a diff look...well with the CF hood..the new light weigt rims and the new optima battery ill save a good amount of weight..but either way thats not the main reason im doing it...ill post some pics of the ride tonight..

on the contrary, VIS makes some nice W203 CF hoods... you will see the surprise i have comming by the end of this year... newayz, back on topic.. the CF hoods from VIS r prety good quality, I have seen them on 2 cars... on Jason's (BrabusCclass) C240K and my friend Darios C240.

Benzo im a good friend of Dario and his little sister..lol thats who gave me the idea....
BTW Zeppelin im not planning on painting or prepping anything..im leaving it carbon fiber..and like i mentioned our friend Dario had one on his C class and it looks awesome..

You said a CF hood stock looking, which I figured meant painted. Would not look very stock if it was not painted. Plus even leaving it with the CF look requires clear coating it. On the quality, I heard from another board member that said there was alot of work to make it fit just right.

The vis hoods are ****ty quality. I would never get one. My friend got one on his old civic and it started to yellow after the first year. There are better companys for CF hoods. Even if it had to be custom.
