Do we also "need" Stabilizer Bar upgrades?

I just got my PSS-9's installed ...... but not on my c32. Unfortunately did my 996 first. It transformed the car GREATLY (unbelievable really. WOW!!) . However, I do realize that to fully fine-tune that car, I must also do a Stabilizer upgrade. :v

For those that have upgraded the c32 suspension, do you find that it is enough or that a Stabilizer Bar increase is warranted. For those that did upsize the Stabilizer bars size,

1) is worth the cost?
2) Was it a difficult install?
3) Which type did you use?

Its well worth it,,

Pretty easy to install but becareful on the front bars as the bolts holding the bushing brackets cross threads very easy.

I went from Eibach to H&R,, I like the H&R much better.

The PSS-9 kit for the Porsches is a great upgrade that really improves the car in any situation. Bilstein did a much better match for that car than they did for ours.

I thought you upgraded your suspension to a coilover already on the C32. I personally don't think you need bars on the C32. The stock bars are already significantly larger than the other W203 sedans and with a stiff coilover set up, they potentially can cause more wheel lift while cornering at the limit. I am curious to drive a Bilstein coilover car that has bars. Maybe I can borrow rrf's car!

I have the c32 PSS-9's still sitting in the box. I had to get my "regular" 20k km front bushing (etc) maintenance redone again and I did not want the dealership to give me any issues with the "cause" of the problem.

I am supposed to get the car back today and should be able to get them on within the next week.

I most definitely agree with you about the 996 transformation The stock n/a suspension on that was "most" dissapointing!

The sway bars attach the same way to the strut housing tab exactly the same way on any Mac Sturt set up offered for the C32. The load on them should also be the same regardless of the spring rates or shock valving. The dealer should not give you any problems with the replacement of these parts. If the strut tower cracked, then that may be a different story from the extra load on the housing. I am working on that one!

a Difference??

OK, call me crazy but this friggen car now runs pretty much FLAT with the new stabilizer bar work that was done by MB. This seems to be the 'temporary' case every time I get my links done!!! Today the car's STOCK suspension seems 'almost acceptable'

I can say however, that with STOCK suspension AND OEM Michelns, I am getting a slight tire rub (both pre-post linkage work) against both the LR inner front wheel liners... anyone else with this????

PS.if you chk the other SWAY BAR END LINKS thread you will see my parts replacements.
