Looking for a little hint on where to begin looking for the culprit.
Car was idling for about 10 minutes and steam began to pour out of the hood, but also filled my interior with steam coming through the heat vents on the dash.
Had the car towed home this morning and it was empty of all coolant.. I filled the coolant tank with water to try and find the leak but there was none.. not a drop...
I started the car and let it idle about a minute.... again no leak... I stuck a dipstick into the oil pan and the oil is clean so its reasonably safe to eliminate a head gasket problem...
maybe it needs to heat up for the thermostat to open to find the leak?
Anyone have any insight?

Thankfully it wasn't a heater core or a hose! It was however a fitting on the heater hose by the firewall and under the cowl. I might need help locating this part, so.... if anyone can figure out this part # it would be appreciated!
I think you're right! It looks like there are 2 separate parts when you're looking at it in front of you, but maybe thats just the way it comes?
Either way, thanks for the heads up! This car is really my favorite thing on the planet besides my Brady sized family! Next is Turbo fabrication! Right after replacing a bunch of 15 year old hoses!
