New injectors c55
Hellow,
My C55 has 191.000km and i'm wondering if new injectors are worth the purchase. They cost around 100€ a piece, so it will be 800€ to replace them.
Worth doing or leave it like it is? that car drives pretty well.
thx

Why would it be worth replacing them if they aren't broken? If you're getting antsy to spend money on your car for the heck of it, getting them professionally cleaned and calibrated for your own peace of mind wouldn't be the worst expenditure. Most places will replace all the seals as well which often go bad by around your mileage.

I'm not antsy to spend money but i want my Merc in perfect conditions. I replaced the injectors on my RS4 and it was worth it.
But if it's not necessarely, i wont do it;
thx for the answer.

The RS4 is a different engine and has it's own issues and possible reasons why injector problems pop up, namely direct injection. You may have issues that would warrant a cleaning or replacement , but have you actually investigated? There is no way someone from out here in the ether can tell you whether you should replace the injectors before you do some investigating yourself, like what do your fuel trims look like? What fuel pressure do you hold and for how long? Do you see signs of leakage around the injector o-ring seals? Replacing anything before actual diagnosis is very close to if not the same thing as spending money for the heck of it, unless you make a lucky guess.
That being said, if you want a perfect running engine, and as I said before, at your mileage I wouldn't hesitate to have the injectors professionally cleaned, which runs about $200 for a set of 8 in the US. Maybe more or less wherever you are in the world that you speak in KM and Euros.

My W203 CLK55 has 125k miles on it. It didn’t feel like it had any major issues, but a bottle of Liqui Moly 5153 injector cleaner into the tank made a noticeable difference. Car feels smoother.
