your not really braking in the motor, its hte transmission your breaking in... AMG motors come broken in from factory!!! I would go 500 miles babying the car, you can take it up to high speeds, but just try not to let the transmission downshift too much when driving... u can start gradually start driving it harder and harder as your miles accumulate and after 1000 miles u can drive it hard. After your first oil change, go and rag the hell out of it with no problem. Remember, break in your car the way you want it to run

" the more you protect the engine at the beginning , the more satisfying you will be with its performance in the future"
- break in period first 1000 miles(1500 km)
- drive at varying road and engine speed
- avoid excessive strain on the engine e.g. drive at full throttle
- change gear in good time
- DO NOT change down a gear manually in order to brake
- do not exceed 2/3 of the max. permissible engine speed for each gear
MAX SPEED at gear / safe two-third speed:
1st - 62kmh , 40kmh
2nd - 103kmh, 70kmh
3rd - 160kmh, 110kmh
4th - 225kmh, 150kmh
5th - 250kmh, 180kmh
Look like if we shift down to brake at say 110kmh that will likely to upset the transmission at 2nd gear
