Is This A Deadening Tube?

See red dot in picture. Is that some kind of sound deadener? I'm in the process of offering you C32 owners modded air boxes. This tube that goes at the bottom part of the box setup caught my eye. Would it be worth removing that thing for better air flow?

Also, I can't believe how small these C32 air boxes are. With more air volume and bell mouths it should improve performance.

I will have a pair of these air boxes done by the end of next week. If you are interested in testing these for me please PM or email at speed43mods@gmail.com.

I like to have someone who has access to a dyno. And someone that people here will believe when he reviews the intakes. If you think you're the one please contact me.

Thanks. George.

I'm not positive but I think first it is a vortex to catch moisture and inturn deadens the sound.

Thanks for the info. I tried to see if it can be removed and it's pretty hard to do. So I'm leaving it alone.
