M113 Engine, C55 AMG alternator

You may not be aware but there may be a chance the regulator has gone bad which is a replaceable part which is located on the back of the alternator. Alternators, non-dealer cost of $240+/-) rarely go bad, its generally the regulator. I had the same issue about 5 years ago at 90,000 miles on the clock. You can check FCP Euro, Parts Geeks, Pelican Parts, etc. I think I paid $36 for it and it was a 45 minute job as you'll need to remove the 1st panel from the front to get to the alternator (disconnect battery negative cable). Then its simply remove and replace (R&R) the regulator, replace battery cables, and button up the bottom panel.
Good luck
Rob
