Looks like my business meeting in Colorado Springs tomorrow may not be as bad as I thought. I'll try to drop by for my own personal viewing.

It must be great news for the true and pure sports fans ....faster than a GT2 or Ferrari with a third of the price!

Wonder how reliable and pratical to drive one of those as a day-to-day car ?

Wonder if anyone thought about heat dispensation for a 450hp engine in the C. I already felt the C55 interior is hotter than any cars I used to have.

While W203 sedans are known for "heat sink" interiors, esp. around the driveshaft area, the A/C takes care of that. Unless the person is "racing", I'd imagine that they'd leave the unit on AUTO. The H.P. losses are going to affect it that much. My buddy has a 750hp MK4 Supra, and runs his A/C all the time, even when making a "kill", because of the heat from the driveline housing & firewall.

I'll have to agree w/ you on that....next time you drive for a bit, place your hand on the ashtray cover right above the tranny...feels like that thing is conducting heat!

Do any or all of these mods void the MB warranty? Or does Kleemann put up their own warranty once modified?

...........I noticed this car on a web press release a little over a week ago. It essentially ended my w210 E55 project. My plan was to build a a super car by changing the diff of a W210 E55 to that of an E320 and then placing a supercharger as well as a limited slip diff. I thought this would be a great idea since W210 E55's are cheap these days(relatively speaking of course).
............Well, any performance gains I would have derived from the above will be totally wiped out by this C55K of Kleemann's. So Now, I am going to go the Kleemann C55K route. But, as another member has stated, I wondred what would happen if you did this to an SLK55?
...........My local dealer has an SLK350 with a price of $52K. This is without any dealer mark up. I can only imagine what the confirmed price of an SLK 55 will be. Such a project with an SLK55 might be a bit too expensive for what is afterall a two sitter car. A C55 is $55K sitthing at the same dealership. For those who want to wait a year or two, you can probably get one for under $40K at that time. Strange as it may seem, the Kleemann C55K, if it can truly and predictably do 0-60 in 3.8 secs, is an amazing bargain which will become an even better bargain if you wait a year or two to buy your C55 before adding the s/c and limited slip etc. If true, then you are getting a four sitter SLR.........well I'm exerberating a bit, but not by much.
............Warranty issues are a concern in general. For me, I am okay with it. I have two Kleemann cars and the only major issue has been water pump problems on one of the cars.

What kind of water pump problems? Do you think it is because of the supercharger or because of Mercedes?

Where did you get the Kleemann modifications done and how long did you have to leave your car?

..............the modifications were done at Mbautowerks. There is nothing wrong with my car. They both drive fine. The water pump for the s/c has had to be replaced twice on one of the cars. This I understand is a known problem with Kleemann's V6 superchargers. I further understand that no such problems exist with the V8 superchargers.

.......sorry for the late response. I have a CLS65 on order. I understand I am first on the list in the south eeast. I also like the Kleemann C55. It appears that the Kleemann C55 will be faster and cheaper than the CLS65 even after the CLS65 undergoes a Kleemann upgrade with LSD. Warranty was not an issue for me previously, but I am about to shell out $3500 to replace the waterpump in my Kleemann CLK32 for the 3rd time......so I am leaning more towards the Kleemann C55, because it will be a much less expensive car to fix should something go wrong.

100% you can get the same result. I have sold the C55 S8, so no seeing that car anymore. HOWEVER.... I am picking up our SLK55 tomorrow! An even more wicked vehicle to be sure, 220 lbs lighter, 7 SPD etc.
