Several Sudden errors and Check Engine
Good morning,
I am new to this forum and did a search for my specific issue but could not find anything directly related. I have an 03 C32 AMG with 225K on it. Last week I had a check engine light, went to the mechanic and he said it seems to be the catalytic converter, he cleared the check engine and ask me to keep an eye on it.
Today the following happened:
First message was ESP visit workshop, followed a minute later by coolant visit workshop, then the check engine came on and finally I got the visit workshop display defective. The check engine flickered a few times before it stayed on and the gas light came on a few times while I have 3/4 of my tank full.
I am new to trying to fix my car myself and will appreciate any guidance. I checked the coolant and could not find any leak and the level seems fine.
Can the display trigger a check engine? What would you recommend as first/next step.
