So the AMG tech at my dealer did a boroscope on my motor and found that it's very likely I have blown head gasket due to coolant washing clean a portion of a cylinder where the head meets the block. In lieu of just replacing the head gaskets, I opted to get a new motor all together. I found a 2004 CLK55 AMG motor locally. I assume that this will fit plug and play within a C55 given it's the same motor? The C55 Motor I believe is a M113.988 and the CLK55 is a M113.987, although a parts breakdown shows they're identical. Just wanted to ask the group and see if you guys think i'd be running into any issues with this?
