C32 AMG 722.6 Transmission Repacement
What a journey with this car it's been. Basically everything that bolts onto that block has been replaced at this point. Including the transmission now, which is where I'm having issues. I bought a "rebuilt" 722.6 with the speed shift option off a reputable vendor, but it's not rebuilt (according to my shop that did the install while I was out of town working). Now I'm dealing with broken engine mounts from when the trans was pulled (they needed to be replaced anyway) but I'm having a really harsh shift / lurching issue between 1-2 and had this question:
I still have my core transmission, where i replaced the conductor plate about 5,000 miles ago. I reused all the original solenoids, and had an issue in 3rd gear with some vibrations in my old trans before it crapped out on me (meaning in drive the transmission wouldn't even engage and I had to get towed to a shop).
I know there's a shift solenoid for 1-2/4-5, a shift solenoid for 3-4, and a third for 2-3... my question is... the part numbers seem the same, as do their dimensions.. are they all interchangeable? Meaning if my old transmission had a good 1-2/4-5 solenoid but a bad 3-4 and a bad 2-3 AND my new trans has a bad 1-2/4-5 but good other ones, can I take the 3-4 from the old transmission and utilize it in the 1-2/4-5 position on the new transmission? This is regardless if I take my "new" conductor plate from the old trans and put the whole thing in the "new to me but not rebuilt" transmission that's currently in the car?
