Done 1900km on C55!!
almost 2 months nows, Never had a single problem with the Sa made C55 except the rain wiper once not working - fixed (no parts replaced) by MB dealer return on same day.
relative to my 3 yrs W210 experience:-
- W203 is not a lighter car but the C55 torque does perfect job to make it feel as stable as a tank - may be the Rosso just perfect ?
- Not quite as sound proof (may be the windows closures are not better than W210 ) and stable in strong wind?
- great but gentle engine/exhaust sound , still draws some attention from pedestrians!
- may be the silver color makes it like a normal sedan , so subtle , not drwas attentions like on my Z3
- perfect smooth speedshift , can be jerky if accelerate when shift gears
- braking is great without hard press
- quite some engine noise at 3rd gear , the 4th is so smooth and still with enough torque to be faster than the 3rd on the E320
would I want to go back to the heavier E ? I don't know yet.
I would like to have a sporty color on the C , like yellow , that's for sure.

I've got 8600 miles on my C55. (also I've had it for a tad over 2 months).
No serious issues to report, so far i've been VERY happy with this car. It is just 'different' than the E55, that is the best way I can describe it. And to be honest I've started to like the C55 more, if only it was available w/ some of the extra little bells and whistles of the E class (keyless go, active seats etc).
My buddy who's got the E55 is actually seriously thinking of selling his for a C55 w/ some kleeman updates
