How do I correctly remove/replace rubber door seals?
Hey all! So I have a C320 and I'm gonna be doing some work on the bottom of my car doors to remove the rust and ultimately do a vinyl wrap. Unfortunately what's in the way is the rubber strip at the bottom of the doors that I'll have to remove in order to do what I want to do. The question I have is:
How are they secured to the doors and how do I remove them?
Are they glued on or secured by some kind of peg system under them or by other means? I'm unsure of whether I'll need to muscle them off by tearing them from the metal or if there's another way to do it. Also unsure of if once they're pulled off, I'll be able to re-use them or buy replacement strips.
Either way, any help would be awesome because I have no idea what their technical name is and I haven't found any videos or pages online that explain how to remove and re-apply them to the bottom of the vehicle's doors.

They are pressed on and likely with some adhesive. Be careful - according to EPC - no longer available. Dealers may have stock, but I wouldn’t count on it.

You're in the C32/C55 Forum and, more than likely, no one will respond to your issue. I suggest that you'll have more chances asking for help in the C Class W203 Forum since the production numbers for your car are thru the roof vs the low production numbers of C32 and C55's.
Good luck!
