yes it is..unless of course... http://www.err0neous.org/mbz/slrvideo4.wmv (donno if that link still works..)

a forced-induction engine is just easier to get more out initially than a well-tuned n/a engine... but of course, the n/a will have more potential..

hmm..interesting the rear track is narrower than front track..would've thought that is generally done on fwd cars...

i guess it was kinda like c36 vs c43.. it just seemed like the 302 hp c43 should've been a lot faster than the 268 hp c36 than had been shown on paper..it was a little lighter too...

haha

if i were to spend 60k + 14-20k for mods hell, id fish out a couple extra grand for a e55. why would anyone want 500hp on a w203 platform anyway? thats just pure rice mentality; fitting abnormal horsepower and compromising overall charisma of the C.

If you S/C a W203 C55, Im pretty sure it will beat an E55 and pretty much blow the doors off of 90% of the cars on the road.

Not sure where you live Los Angeles or Louisiana but the C55 stock will blow away 99% of the cars that I see on the road. The E55 99.5% and a Kleemann S/C'd C55 simply challenges my mathematic notation abilities.

I live in Los Angeles County. Everyone around where I live has something fast/nice. C55's, M3's, etc. are a dime a dozen (many of these types of cars are driven by teens in HS) MB's, BM's, P-cars etc. are not that big deal. In my community I have seen numerous SL55's, E55's, M5's, 996 n/a and turbos, Maybach, Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc. The only cars that really stand out are either cars mod'ed very nicely, or something exotic. You name and some joker here has it. Not to mention how many 350Z's, STI's, and Evo 8's the kids drive around here (not slow cars by any means). Im pretty sure you know about www.jimmy540i.com he lives around me, he has a F360 and a supercharged 540 monster. IMHO you can never have too much muscle under the hood, Having a supercharged 5.5 is sure tempting.

IMO, the only performance disadvantage to a 500HP C55 compared to the E55 would be; not being able to get big enough rubbers on the rear wheels.

IMHO, i think giving 500 hp on a c55 is like giving a bum an armani tux. You want to be in supercar territory, but you cant afford to- so you mod it to make run like it is. its definitely nice to have 500 hp, but along with that, id like a race spec chassis, roll cage, and a full CF body. its great to have a couple of tweaks here and there to improve performance, (just got a carlsson rs suspension kit ) but 500 hp on a c55 is just absurd...

btw...
