AMG wheel touch up paint?
I'd hate to have my wheels refinished for every little rock chip and scrape, so I'm wondering if there is touch up paint available for AMG wheels (the new 18" C55 wheels, to be exact) that will match as good as possible. I found a color called Astral Silver (paint code DB9705) that is supposed to match regular MB alloy wheels, but I figure the AMG's are probably a different finish. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

My wife scartched the rear right wheel a week after I got my C55
I had it 'fixed' in local shop in Hong Kong , not sure what paint they use , I can ask.
Even you will never get the original paint smoothness and shiningness. Honestly , only when you hand touch the surface you will notice the difference. USD45 they charged me and it is better than to pay USD450 for a new wheel.

Because of the low profile tires and expensive wheels, I bought a 3 year tire and wheel replacement policy when I purchased the car. Usually these things are rip-offs but for $450 and no deductible this was a no brainer. On my last car I spent $1,000 over 3 years fixing wheel rash.

just learn how to park and drive around curbs...oh, and dont let the wife drive...and even if she doesnt, blame all curb rash on her or the girlfriend, or both.
