C55 RPM?
Seems like my recently acquired C55 runs very high RPM on the highway. Almost seems like I'm short another gear.

Could someone please tell me how many RPM they are running on the Highway at 70mph.

95 SL600
It’s got a 3.07 rear gear, so it’s not highway friendly at higher speeds. If I recall it’s about 3000 rpm at 82mph or so.

3000rpm is 82mph as stated above...my son's CLK550 with the 7spd is so much better on the highway and is at 22-2300rpm at 80mph

I wish my C55 had the 7 speed. SLK55 had a 7 speed. I suppose the W203 was too old at the time to make the change.

double checked the other day and it's more like 3000rpm at 84mph

Not sure about 80 at 2800, this is mine at 77mph at 2850.
