C55 Secondary Cat/Res Delete Pipe Size
After a year of hesitation, I've decided to chop my resonator and secondary cats off my C55. Th exhaust shop I spoke to doesn't use stainless steel piping but said I could bring in my own and they'd cut and weld it. My car is currently bone stock. I've searched past threads for sizing and some say 2.5inch while others say 2.5in from primary cats to res and then 2.25in from res to mufflers. For those who have done this, what size pipe did you use? Is 304L stainless steel what I should be looking for? What length should I buy? Not concerned with having some excess.

So I ended up chopping just the resonator out and left the secondaries. I may go back and do the secondaries at some point. The res delete is very subtle. A bit more growl but not too much volume increase. The results are what I expected. Here is a before and after.
