C32 oil consumption after repairs

I have just refreshed 2 m112k engines in the past couple of months. The first one had the coolant oring disappear into the coolant passage somewhere, dumping all coolant. and the other one the orings were jelly soft. Valve stem seals were cracked on one engine, and very very stiff on the other engine, not holding much oil back. Both oil pump pickup orings were hard and loose, not sealing letting air in.
All of these engines are going to need these replaced, but they aren’t easy to replace. They pretty much require engine out heads off disassembly, lots of work. I am in the process of tearing down a complete m113k to install $50 worth of seals because I pulled the water pump and can see the suction side oring bulging. I believe I gets soft and the water pump sucks it out of its silly little holder because it turns to jelly,
I can say that I fixed the rough idle caused by old plug wires at 2200 ohms, new ones were 1800. I changed everything from injectors to plugs and looked for vacuum leaks. These cars are going to require lots of attention and parts. If you are using coolant and it’s not leaking, your timing orings are done.
