C55 Brake Job DIY
I'm about to embark on my most advanced DIY to date, which is admittedly pretty minor. I will be changing all rotors and pads in the coming weeks. I've done pretty simple maintenance like filters, crankshaft position sensor, windshield washer pump, etc. This will be my first time jacking up the car. I think I have a pretty good handle on changing the rotors and pads but running into some trouble on how to properly lift the car.
For the front, I plan on jacking the front using the point under the engine and placing jack stands under the jack points behind the side skirt just behind the wheel well. Simple enough.
The rear is where I cannot find much info. I've used the search function! There is no center jack point in the rear and I cannot jack using the differential. If I use the rear side jack points, where do I place my jack stands? I see some people using the floor jack to do one brake at a time. I know this is not safe. This is my first time doing this job and while some can probably do a single rotor/pad in 20 minutes, I'm likely to move much more slowly.
Does anyone have any guidance? Pictures would great! Thanks MB World!

you can just do one side at a time on the back. this is how I do it: jack it and put rear wheel under the car on the side just a safety measure. If you still want to jack up whole backend - use couple of 2x4s and jack it up using the diff (not the aluminum cooler under it).
This guy on youtube has a lot of videos on c55, on of them is about how to jack up c55 from the back https://www.youtube.com/@ANDERZENAMG

I agree with the other posts -- no need to lift the entire vehicle. Do one wheel at a time -- use a trolley jack and a jack-stand back-up, and absolutely chock the wheels. Harbor Freight sells very affordable caliper compression tools that make the job easier. A can of Blaster penetrating oil can help if your bolts are a bit rusted.
