Just copy the AMG logo on to a regular piece of paper to size (may need 2 separate pieces, my logos appr. 15"), I used 4" metallic DUCT tape, the stuff for ac/heating HVAC. cut the logo into the tape, stick and paint. This tapes perfect for sticking to the mesh, no worries of overspray, and mistakes dont cost much. You only get 1 shot per cut out, but real easy to reproduce. I started doin it for my 2002 M3 E46 , then did my 2003 CLK55 AMG back in 2004. Sorry contrast is a bit DEEP, but pics taken with crap video camera, still away from home now, can't do much of a write up, but theres no exact science to the procedure. If you're going to use acrylic spray paint out of a can, you need to use the metallic tape, airbrushing has less danger of overspray, so you can get away with a reusable cardboard stencil. You get way sharper images if duct tape is used though. Just enlarged the logo, print a copy to standard copypaper, tape it to the metal duct tape, use an exacto knife as the cutter. Peel duct tape backing off-apply to mesh carefully and lightly making sure it is adhered properly-these mesh grills bend easily. Mask the borders, then spray away with whatever color ya want. Let dry for atleast 24 hours, peel off tape, ensure no overspray, then clearcoat THE ENTIRE GRILL (2 coats) I've done a few back in NY for a couple of BMW's, Dodge SRT's, and WRX's, all friends of mine. Don't forget to clearcoat, very important, chip damage occurs quicker without it. I'll try to do write up with pics when I'm back home this week. The metallic tape also can be "etched" with copy of logo ON TOP, Trace logo with pencil along logo borders, remove copy, 'traced' image will stay on tape. Cut image out with Exacto knife, stick and paint. Thats another quick way for this type of disposable stencil.

I'm in the Tampa area, the rims are 18" 8.5 and 9.5's RUFF RACING R278's. Chose due to the inexpensive cost, weight of 20 and 21lbs each rim, offset which allowed a 3.25" rear lip, best rim IMHO. The carbon fiber diffuser by TEO (TL1212) with my own custom molding, and the custom stainless steel quad exhaust designed by me, but performed by custom euro performance shop here in tampa. They followed my spec to the letter. The tips will be replaced by Carlsson tips very soon, and debating to go with full headers.
