Parts sources for LSD differential install

I'm trying to get my Drexler LSD from a C63 installed on my car. Apparently you can still buy the LSD units from several manufacturers but no one still carries any parts for our HAG 215 differential housings. Wavetrac listed part numbers for the bearings and seals and although they (Wavetrac) no longer carry those parts, they are still available from parts suppliers (eBay has generic ones as well). The trouble I'm running into is nobody seems to have snap ring kits and shims... Any ideas?

Also, one shop I talked to looked it up and said it was a 13 hour job... That doesn't sound right. I would guess 4-5 hours at most. 13 hours at shop labor rates is a non starter.

So far, my LSD is a very expensive paper weight...

I just don't get why they would produce high horsepower cars with open differentials when they were standard equipment on old cars and trucks in the '60s and '70s with WAY less power. Standard equipment on my Trans Am. I even had one as an inexpensive factory option on my '98 Chevy 1500. WTH?
