Bought the cheapest most clapped out C55 in Europe

The last few weeks have been rather slow progress, but it was tedious work, which took forever. I'm currently getting all the parts ready to get them painted. Since W203 like to rust, i had some de rusting to do. The 4 doors took over a month, till i had cleaned everything up. I opened up the bottom on them and cleaned out the rust as well as i could and then used the chassis glue, which i previously used on my wheel arches. The hood is also pretty much ready for the paint process, after removing the ornament socket. What is left now, is the trunk. I've dismantled it and removed the spoiler, but have to clean it up some more. The chassis now has a layer of primer and two layers of filler. The next step would be the base coat (hype). Another thing i ticked off, are the brake lines. The rear ones had some slight corrosion, so i decided to make all brake lines new from scratch.

And yes, on Wednesday I finally got to see the paint I've been dreaming about the last few years. I present to you, the first W203 in 934 Chinablue!
That’s a lot to tear apart for the average guy.

Have you come to the engine restoration yet?
I have a C55 Touring with 230 000 km on the clock, Had it for 16 years, second owner. Kleemann stage 2 + gearbox tune. Wonderful car! :-)

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I serviced the engine, before installing it.Changed the rear main seal, valve cover gasket, changed all rubber hoses, swapped all spark plugs, resealed the lower oil pan and did an oil change. Compression across the cylinders were all fine and the o ring behind the timing cover was changed in 2018.

I also decided on what rims to run on this car and went with OZ Superturismo in 19". I have to use 44 offset on the front like the W204, because of my wider wheelhubs, since i have C63 front knuckles with C63 brakes.
