Activated TeleAid today ... some news.
1. According to them, the C55 is not limited to 30-min the 1st (free) year but has unlimited minutes.
2. She offered me to sign up for two (additional) years after the 1st (free) year at a cost of $230 total. That's for two more years, what would normally cost $240 per year or $480 (includes basic service w/o extra concierge and optional services). She said I have 90-days to decide. Doesn't sound like a bad deal if you were thinking of getting it anyway.
Also, she said the car location feature could work without the car being turned on or running. Not sure about that because I read another thread (might have been for C32) that said car must be running. Anyone know?
Rgds,
Norm

I was under the impression that the 1st year of TeleAid is free but if you use any air-time minutes (i.e., conceirge, mapping your route etc.), that these services are charged by the minute.

I activated mine and I think he is right. I don't think there is a per minute charge for the basic tele-aid services. We found the 30 minutes to be laughable when we first got our E500. You can get unlimited airtime for the $230 but you have to call teleaid first to connect your calls. Poor mans' way around the $2700 hands free phone.
