Looking to find a relatively inexpensive solution for mounting snow tires. The wheel exchange in Raleigh, NC has a set of 4 new AMG split spoke 17" x7.5" for $999, but I don't want to spend that much. In Northern Virgina, we only need snow tires about 5 days per winter. I am hoping that someone has a set of "takeoffs" that they have lying around and would be willing to part with for less (hopefully well less) than the above price. Thanks in advance.

I have a set of 17's with tires still mounted to them. The wheels are in decent shape (one small curb scratch on the front and some minor stone damage). The tires are basically trash, I just haven't taken them off the wheels yet. They are staggered however, so I'm not sure this will work well for snows. I am in Northern Va so shoot me an email if you are interested. Price is negotable, but will be LESS than a grand for sure.

I saw those on E-bay also - several sets and not much action. Not a bad price if they are the real deal and new (not repaired) as advertized. I asked TireRack if they would meet the price (they sell for $419 ea I think). They said it was probably below their cost and they don't negotiate price anyway.

The wheels are 17"x7.5 front and 17x8.5 rear,the breaks are the same...
About selling... I don't know...I'm in Arizona,if you could pick it up then yes,but sending anywhere its just too much hustle...,besides I'm in Italy right now until the end of january...
