Following the trend of MB C-classes...
C36 AMG = 6cyl, n/a, high compression, variable valve timing
C43 AMG = 8cyl, n/a, high compression
C32 AMG = 6cyl, supercharged
C55 AMG = 8cyl, big displacement, ultrahigh compression
what next?
I am seriously hoping that for the future 2007/2008 W204, AMG would twin turbo the existing SLK350's DOHC V6. That would seriously provide lots of potential. Seeing that MB is rumored to soon release a V8 twin turbo for the E-class and already has 2 versions of the existing successful uber powerful V12 twin turbo, turbocharging could very possible be AMGs new secret weapon. I say leave the N/A bs for the BMW guys and lets keep the trend of forced induction. As for turbolag, I think the MB motors produce enough torque to not have that as much of a variable.
