!!HELP!! C55 Steering wheel
I took my car in for inspection; I was told I needed tires. I ordered 4 tires, had them delivered to the shop and asked for an alignment. They called saying that the tie rods could not be adjusted and I needed new tie rods. They completed the installation of the new tie rods and now the steering wheel turns by itself from left to right. They put another new pair of tie rods on, but it is still doing the same thing. I am afraid that they damaged the steering angle sensor or the steering rack. Has anyone heard of a car just turning left to right and then right to left and so on by itself? Please see attached video.
No warning lights. The beeps in the video are for the seat belt.

OP, if you're car didn't do that before when you brought it in, suffice to say that the shop damaged something or didn't install something properly along the way in/out.
I recently had new tires and tie rods installed, still with my original steering rack and have had no problems. Have never heard of this issue happening in all my travels in the C55 groups and forums. Post to the C55 owner's group on FB and see what information you can collect!
