heh.. the reason your getting so many comments is because your so sensitive about it..... and now your taking digs at C32's, Mr. C55?

you got a few replies balking at your price and you kept egging the subject on and on trying to justify your price... do you really think you're going to convince anyone? I suppose it's just to keep the topic bumped... did they sell yet?

Yes you are right, I am overly sensitive about a set of wheels. What is your excuse? The question is, if you are all so interested and you can buy them cheaper, what the hell are you doing responding to this thread?

This thread makes me ask myself why I even go on Internet Bulletin Boards at all....this is really common and disappointing.

If you don't like his price, make him a counter offer. If you are not interested in buying wheels and tires hit the BACK button OR STFU.

Do something productive with your time, instead of arguing over something you really don't care about to begin with.

LOL this whole thread is a ****ing joke, no one is really helping anyone!

For all you C-Class "crap class" drivers, you guys need to upgrade to the E or S. Whenever I see a "C" class I roll my eyes- it's not a REAL mercedes (except for the AMG's) jking

Just so we get this straight, you couldn't even figure out how to use your jack to change your tire, but you think that the forum members in general are so inept they need your help to negotiate a price on a wheel?

Nobody is being sensitive, you are just clueless.

Well, in all honesty, it doesn't take much to outwit a guy like Frank. He can't even use a TOOL let alone outsmart one.

hey 05 C55 I went thru the same thing when I tried to sell my wheels, but your going a little too far...the fact of the matter is, if you lower your price they WILL sell a lot faster, but there's no harm in trying to get top dollar for them at first, but if it doesn't work out, just lower the price, not rocket science here....

I've gotten several PM's and I am willing to negotiate but unfortunately I don't need the money to pay my rent so I will be holding out for a fair price. In truth, I should have posted the pics in classifieds (which I have now done) to begin with but I don't really care about all the flaming, no skin off my back. I'm sure they will sell sooner or later.

yes, this thread is a waste of time, although it is entertaining to see someone get so worked up about selling a set of wheels, taking everything so personal.... looking up what people's car are selling on ebay for, looking at everyone's past posts trying to get dirt and digs.....

if you don't need the money so bad, just drop it and keep the wheels....

2005 Brilliant Silver C55

Suggesting that an item can be found cheaper is just asking for trouble. It should be the responsibility of the purchaser to look for the BEST DEAL - not the forum members to point it out. We should be able to sell in a safe environment without the hassle of others trying to undercut our sales. 05C55 provided everything that a proper for sale post should provide - pics, price and shipping info. I am surprised that it was not moved to the classifieds.

I have learned the hard way that the best response is no response to posts like - x-tian-230K, FrankW, ronnie0738 - for obvious reasons.

Again -

Bottom line, this argument is legitimate from both ends. I see both of your points. Put yourselves in 05C55's shoes - his initial offer was high, but that is his starting point!! I would have done the same thing...

Reminds me of a story when I tried to sell my Cobra - The blue book value was 8,000 and I was asking 7K, someone comes along and says he is interested making an offer of $3000 BECAUSE he saw the same car with the same mileage selling for this in his home town. Items are worth different amounts to different people - if 05C55 was looking to just get these off his hands quickly, he would probably sell them for much lower than what they are worth, but he is not and is just looking for a better offer.

I believe the real argument comes from 05C55 being defensive about negotiating price. It definitely stirs things up.

I think what is important is that these types of posts never make it to the Message Board, as 5150_C32 mentioned. They should be listed in a classified section that supports pic uploads. I'm working on this system now at http://amgpower.com/classified.php

I will be requesting a mod to delete or lock this thread. My sole intention was to post pics for someone who had asked to see pics via a PM. There are now pics posted in the classifieds. Everyone who has PM'd me has been very civil and I have made it clear that I have no ongoing use for the wheels and will sell them for a fair price. I do think people are not reading the whole post, I do not have a full set, it is only one rear and one front, drivers side.

I have only engaged a few of the posters here for my own amusement, for that I am guilty, but it was funny to me and I don't take any of this stuff seriously. Like I said the PM function is working fine and I'm sure I'll sell them sooner or later.
