Love SL55 V8 sound

Love SL55 V8 sound
The return of economy in HK finally shows its sign. Look like we are back to the old days where all mistresses of the rich drive SL500s. In the last few days, I saw a total of 3 black SL55AMGs in different occasions.
The SL55 is truely sexy, it does not look like a SL500 at all.
(Even it costs 2 million HKD here, it is still much cheaper than a Ferrari 360.)
I finally had a chance to listen to a slowly moving SL55 V8 sound passing me by. The sound is much deeper than the C55.
Wonder why it was only at speed of 30kmh (without the Kompressor on) that the exhaust sound can be so sweet and deep ?
Can we improve the C55 to sound like the SL55? (Assumed I do not have to swap a SL55 with my C55 which will kill my retirement fund :p )

(The 2005 C55 base price is now 890,000)
I saw 02' C32 is still selling for 530K-580K....
Anyway, I will get it paid back one day when I replace the C55 with a Toyota 1.5 litre

Ok, why the SL55 is so loud ? It's basically the same engine. And, I guess when the SL55 is under slow motion, the Kompressor wasn't even engaged. So shouldn't the SL55 sound as the same as C55?

The SL55 have a different exhaust muffler than the C55.
The E55, SL55, 2005 CLK55s...etc...have a larger oval exhaust.
we (c55 ppl) are using a smaller muffler ...we are using 2X c32 amg mufflers in my opinion

I'd say that there's hardly any car/engine that sounds better than the SL 55 (if any, maybe Porsche Carrera GT). It sounds like a mixture between a couple of Harley Davidsons, a 9 ltr V8 and a machine gun. You can hear/feel the pure power.
Gives me goose bumps just for the thought of it.

I am a HUGE Mercedes fan.......but IMO NOTHING comes close to the sound of a Ferrari! 360 Modena CS! omg its so sick sounding!

After paying a hundred grand for it, YOU Better like the car. Jeeez, you could put that money toward something better, like to the people who need help in life. Instead of being shelfish and buy yourself a hundred grand car just because of the sound, give it to someone who needs it!
