After nearly 4 mths of getting salt all over my black carpet, I have installed a dead pedal to try and help. In cleaned the carpet last night but i guess i missed some spots in the dark>>>>the flash really picks up the dirt!! I think i will do a full detail this weekend.

The dead pedal looks good - a very close match indeed.

How long was the install? Did you have to do some drilling to install it?

Thanks B. It was the closest to a match I could find. VERY easy install. Just use a steel punch to create 2 small holes for the supplied plugs and attach with the 2 supplied screws. The holes were suppisingly easy to make so be carefull if you do it..

Only 2 screws for such a large piece? I would have guessed at least 4. Is it firmly planted or does it rock back and forth? Also, if anyone knows of one that is a perfect match, I would be interested to know. Would have been nice if MB/AMG at least offered it as an accessory, let alone included with the C55 in the first place.

Heh Norm< Its solid as a rock....The screws go into 2 anchors and the whole unit mounts flat. I have looked world wide for the perfect match and this is as close as i could get

I got it from a local guy in Toronto that orders from Carlsson direct (my man MNG). It is $160 USD in their catalogue. with the conversion, freight and taxes i came in around $300 CAD
