me personally, Id rather have a conservative fit thats guaranteed when spending beaucoup bucks for HRE's than something more extreme that might have some rubbing issues. 2.5" lip is fine, less polishing I need to do!!

I regret not getting them clearcoated

I and many dealers that sell HRE's with a 3" rear lip on the C-class DO guarantee that you will not rub. Its just a matter of the specs the dealer has to do it. Just like i am one of the very few to have the specs to fit a 4" rear lip on the rear of a W211 E55 and others dealers have a hard time fitting 3.5" on a 10.0 when i fit a 4" on a 9.5.

But enough of that. Your wheels do look very nice. There really is no need for them to be clearcoated as long as you wash them often.

psk, I have not run PS2's so I can't comment except like most, I have heard good things about them in terms of dry grip and that most like them better than the old Pilot Sports. Unless you push your car to the limits, there will be very little difference between most max and ultra tires across manufacturers and beyond sound issues, most cannot account for the inherent differences in performance which are so close. You will go through tires often, so try them all! I had good luck with the Toyo T1-S's and the new T1-R should be out soon and I will try those. I liked the GSD3's but not the fit. I did not like the stock Rosso's at all. And I am enjoying the SPSSR's even though the fronts wear out quickly. Are you wheels silver paint?

Blackc230, what is the strut diameter for the H&R and your coilovers? The PSS-9 and Carlssons are 53mm. This may have something to do with it. Please turn the wheel full lock and take a picture of the fitment. There are more people with wheel fitment rubbing issues than not when it comes to any manufacturer's 8.5" and 9.5" fitment for the W203. It is really an aggressive fitment. 8" front and 9" rears are really the proper fitment with the right offset and allow for more clearance. I will include my fitment pictures herewith. You can also search for coilover clearance differences.

yeah, thats all that I needed to hear!!!

AMG: yup, they're silver. I didnt want to do the charcoal look because I figured it might stereotype the car into a genre that I dont belong!

thanks everyone for the comments!
