New Suspension (Spring Pad Question)

I have been playing around with the idea sometime, and now that I have found a place to do most of the work, I will be upgrading my suspension. I plan on buying the parts sometime this next week.

Anyways, I had been given good advice as to what would best help me auto-x. I will be going with:

1. Vogtland Springs
2. Koni ext. adj. Shocks
3. #4 Spring pads (here's the question)

BUT, the advice I was given was for 18" rims. I only have 17" rims, will this require different spring pads? I am looking for maximum cornering with this setup. What size pads should I get?

17" will do just fine...18" may get a little heavy...altho the monobloc 17" are pretty stout themselves..

I like the 17's. Although I have given a little thought of moving up to 18's, I am happy to stay with the 17's. I'm just not sure how far my suspension will lower my car. I need to find a good pad combination.

Yeah, I think that I would try to move to #1's if I were keeping my stock setup, but since I will be lowering my car with the new springs & shocks, I think that #1's would have me almost scraping the ground.

In my sig the silver car has#3's in the front and #4's in the rear. The blk one has#4's all around.Originally my car came with #2's all around with the 17's ,but when I put the eibach's and bilsteins on, the car was crazee low.I hated it.Here's my advice:With 17's or 18's and aftermarket suspension go with #4's all around.I love it.Also change your sway bar bushings to stiffer ones(Speedybenz).
