Removing Airbag-equipped steering wheel on C43
Has anyone removed their air bag-equipped steering wheel? I wish to remove steering wheel and have it redone. The upper perforated white portion is pretty nasty and want to have it redone ALL in black.
What precautions have you taken - is there an arm/activate or disarm for it?
Also any suggestions on whom to use for the renovation? There's someone on ebay that does them for $189 in FL - are they any good?
As usual, thanks in advance for your help.

Wheel Restoration
Again, for everyone's 411, here's the seller on ebay.. has own website. Anyone use 'em before? Please let me know - If not, I guess I'll be the guinea pig.
I'm going to redo the wheel and replace the white perforated leather with black perforated leather...I dunno whose wise idea that was at MB.

Here's a post I did on step by step, with pics. Same process for the C as well. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w210/110340-steering-wheel-swap-step-step-pics.html
Can't speak to your other guy; let us know the results. That would be a nice savings.
