I have 1995 C36 which has covered 35000 miles. About a year ago, there was a flapping noise from the rear which was diagnosed as a broken differential. This was repaired using Mercedes parts (crownwheel and pinion) but has failed again after only 3000 miles. Does anybody have any experience of this problem or know any possible cause of the premature failure of the differential.
