Have I missed anything?

Im getting a 100k 98 c43 inspected tomorrow. Done by a MB place - their pre-purchase inspection. It ought cover everything...

But because I like to be thorough I tried to gather all the issues / ideas I have seen here into one list and make sure that they are all covered tomorrow. I hope to become an owner tomorrow!

I would like to know if I have missed anything???

List:

Before I test drive:
- Please unlearn the transmission program - no point having someone elses adaptive trans. program leaving me thinking its a crap transmission.

Make sure to check:
- service history reports of some work on the front suspension - all good?
- service history reports of some cylinder work - all good?
- service history reports "tiny" transmission leak - what is the condition of the transmission?
- harmonic balancer is it original or replaced?
- motor mounts - all ok??
- rear resonator any cracks??
- belt tensioner - original or revised??
- Windscreen replacement - is a special windscreen needed for the rain sensor to work?
- Aircon - does it need regas??
- Climate control - any issues?
- all the other 200 point check items...

Regular stuff - What do these cost and do any of these need doing right now:
- Transmission oil / torque converter flush / filter change
- new plugs
- brakes / rotors
- MAF sensor
- oil filter / change
- fuel filter
- air filter

You have done your homework....which is the ONLY way to go. Check and double-check the tranny, that is the costliest issue you have on your list. As far as the windscreen aka windshield - I believe you are correct, that it is unique for the auto sensing feauture to work correctly.

In fact, in re-reading your post. I would get the trans serviced (flush, fill and filter replaced), plugs replaced, air cleaner, oil and filter changed as a term of the sale. If they balk, then I would walk...
