Aftermarket HID on Original Ballast

Does anybody here had ever change their oem HID bulb with a higher kelvin aftermarket bulb but still utilizing your old ballast.?
I had been using a 6000k bulb from McCulloch and I just swap one of them to a 8000k bulb McCulloch bulb. To my surprise, the color did not have any hint of blue at all. In fact it is "whiter" with a more toned down purplish hint.
What I am intending to achieve from changing the bulbs is actually that hint of blue that I see on other 8000K aftermarket HID system. (bulb +ballast swapped)
I am eager of even getting a 10000K bulbs right now but I am just afraid the color may turned really blue...
Any experienced people here who had ever gone through this? Any other brand that allow me to achieve blue hint with original ballast?

Check this out! here's why I am searching for that blue hint....

Here's the thing with the OEM system. When I change the bulb into higher Kelvin the purple hue just got toned down. The blue never come up at all. Is it even possible to achieve the blue hint running higher kelvin bulbs with original ballast, thats my question.

the ballast has nothing to do with color. you seem to be equating a super
ballast needed.... to have an effect on color. it doesn't. the selection of
the bulb is 90% color.

its weird, I have stock ballast made by bosch on my C43 and i recently changed to 8000k bulbs for more blue color but the color barley changed more over the stock 4300k.

BUT my freind who has a toyota has an HID system with 8000k bulbs and his light color is really really blue
