Diff between US and Canada C36's
Is there a difference between US spec and Canada spec C36's? I'm pretty close to getting a 97 C36 and it came from Canada orginally. The cluster reads in mph.

If it was originally a Canadian car and the speedo is in MPH, the cluster has been changed. All Canadian cars are in KPH, and the C36 speedo reads to 260KPH. You need to have Mercedes tell you what the origin and history of the car is from the VIN.

The VMI is clean. Shows the car was sold brand new in Canada, and only shows a brake light bulb changed at 33,000 miles. I know the gauge cluster has been changed. The same thing happened to my grey market Cosworth MB. Also, when the other dealer had it for sale, the Carfax that was posted with the ad shows the same thing and where it was registered in the US (longest period was in Washington). Carfax was also clean. It has 80k miles and I can get it for $13,800.
