headlight bulbs keep popping
hey guys...
seems like i need to change my headlight bulbs (non-HID) every 12 months or so. same goes for one of the brake light bulbs (it rotates among them). i dont recall EVER having to change a bulb in any other car that i have ever owned.
how often do your bulbs need replacing? was wondering if i had some sort of electrical issue.

Sounds like a voltage (over) problem.Just curious, what manufacturer lamp are you using?The reason I ask is that I used to use Sylvania headlamps but due to their unexpected short life span I won't touch any of their automotive lamps.

Are you talking about the Silverstars? Great bulbs I feel in terms of improvement over stock but they don't last long at all. They just came out with new Silverstar Ultra's that are "suppose to last 20% longer" then normal silverstars.

I won't use ANY of their products.I am a wholesale distributor for their products ( all BUT the automotive ) and even the company's sales rep won't use their product in his cars.I used their "cool blue" lamps before.....never again.

i AM using sylvania silverstars, in fact. i guess ill try a different brand in about 12 months when these replacement bulbs burn out!
