I have done at least two posts on the C43 plug change, the C36 being an in line engine has got to be substantially easier. For starters I would get the 3/8" extension set from Home Depot that locks, along with a 5/8" six-point spark plug socket. This 5/8" socket will have a rubber insert that engages , by friction, the porcelain portion of your spark plugs
I'm sure if I'm wrong others here will correct me. Firts step will be to remove the intake 'snout' and directly beneath it you'll have a cover held in place by two screws - dunno if torx, phillips or otherwise. Remove this cover and the plugs should be underneath.

Remove the intake crossover pipe. Use a 5mm hex socket or hex wrench to remove the cover on top the valve cover (be careful reinstalling the bolts -they will strip out easily). Under the cover are three coils. Carefully lift each coil and remove the primary and secondary wires from the coils. The primary wires are part of thew wiring harness that gives so much trouble on the M104, so once again, be careful. If the primary wiring has cracked or crumbling insulation, figure on a new engine wiring harness. When each coil is pulled upward it should pull up the connector for the spark plug under it. There are short secondary leads to the other three spark plugs. Blow out the wells before removing the plugs.

Thanks it sounds not that difficult. I was looking at the plastic black cover where the plugs are underneath. I have a complete tool set to get it done.
