Whats the real C43 accel?
Hello, guys;
Some articles says that the C43 does 0-100km in 5.8sec, some says that it's about 6.5sec?
Whats the real C43 acceleration? And how about the final speed? Does anyone know?
Is the C43 automatic transmission that strong? Does it handles saffely the maximum C43 speed?

I believe the time 5.8 seconds is fairly accurate. I have never run my car on a drag, but it definitely feels about 5.8 seconds. The quarter mile time is 14.4 sec according to the owners manual. The top speed is 155. I have never gone that high, I have gone about 130. It is too dangerous out here, but the car help up with no problem at all. I would feel confident that going 155 mph would be just like driving 130 ~ish. The car was built to drive that fast, so I am sure the engineering team has tested it to go that fast.

they are designed to go much faster
there are limiters on the cars here to stop them from going above 155. the actual capability is about 170 to 175. But thats reserved for the Autobahn. Lucky bast****!! Good luck.

c43 not that fast
If you read my post below, "race time", I compare the differeces between a stock c43 and a clk320. the time, from mercedes for the 320 is 6.9 and for the 43 it is 5.8. When we raced, we were both surprised at the 43's comparison to the 320 up to about 80. Above 80 the 43 starts to pull much harder than the 320.

I would agree with you very much. As much fun as it is to do stoplight drags, the C43 isnt really moving until 60-80 mph. To me, the car feels kinda slow in the 0-60 timeframe. I still believe that the 0-60 time is in the 5.8 sec range, but I will never know until I do an "unofficial" run.
EEE: do you have actual 0-60 times of the C43, CLK 320? I wanna know what kinda times people are getting with their cars.

I don't have official times on my car because I never really had the desire to. I know that it is slow so I didn't really want to take it to the track. I am getting a supercharger installed and I will definitely get times then!
