Possible RPM issue...

Did a search but couldn't find info...

'95 C36
84,000 miles

Problem: I rev the engine pass 1000 rpm, let off the gas, the rpm drops to about 900 rpm and then JUMPS UP slightly to about 1100 rpm, and then settles at about 900 rpm again and remains there.
*only does this when the car is in "Parked" gear,
*doesn't matter if the engine is warm or cold,

Am I paranoid??
What should I check?

Thanks!

If you have no other symptoms or driving issues then I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I do have one other issue....the car jerks when shifting from Reverse to Drive...is this a problem? I'm gonna get my tranny flushed next week.

it sounds like you have a cracked flex disc. find out if it's the front or rear, and replace it.
